Current work as of 1/3/2013:

John Lennon Tribute Olympics 2012 - For the tribute to John Lennon during the London Olympics Closing Ceremony, I sculpted the final bust of John Lennon that was then 3D printed in huge scale and assembled onstage. The bust is based on a scan of a traditional sculpture done by a different artist - the organizers of the ceremony wanted to take the sculpture in a more realistic direction so I ended up reworking much of the sculpture before it was finally fabricated. A separate artist handled the carving of the sculpture into the final puzzlework shape. Thanks to all the Olympic organizers and volunteers for doing an amazing job on the tribute and especially to Sample & Hold for such an awesome opportunity.

Turn Me On - Work done for the music video of the song Turn Me On by David Guetta featuring Nicki MInaj. Working with COPA visual effects studio, I was responsible for a number of different tasks, from helping model and texture Nicki's face/body and lookdev work, to modeling, texturing, and shading the 'metal' David Guetta. I also lit most of his shots as well. Scott Metzger helped me out a lot on this project so my thanks to him especially.

Hand Study - Study of the human hand. Sculpted and painted in Mudbox, rendered in Vray.

Tom - Work done for Sample & Hold. I was contracted to take basic scan data of a human face and produce a finished render (excluding hair). I performed extensive resculpting and detailing of the mesh, and then used mostly hand-painting for the texture with some photo sources for matching facial landmarks. Render in Vray.

Weathered - Attempt at an older character. I was using this piece to test some new ideas for skin rendering, to add more life and variety to the surface. Sculpted in Sculptris and Mudbox, textures hand-painted in Mudbox, rendered in Vray. This piece was featured in a tutorial I produced for Digital-Tutors.

ET - An archetypal "grey" alien. Sculpted in Sculptris and Mudbox, textures hand-painted in Mudbox, rendered in Vray.

Mask - A piece inspired by the artist Sam Jinks. I love the beauty and tranquility of the human face in repose. Sculpted in Sculptris and Mudbox, textures hand-painted in Mudbox, rendered in Vray.

Distorted - A quick character I sculpted entirely without symmetry. I wanted a look that felt very spontaneous and natural. Sculpted in Sculptris and Mudbox, textures hand-painted in Mudbox, rendered in Vray.

Synthetic - A piece inspired by the game Mass Effect. Sculpted in Mudbox, textures hand-painted in Mudbox, rendered in Modo.

Chela - A character based on concept work by Carlos Huante. Sculpted in Mudbox, textures hand-painted in Mudbox, rendered in Modo.
